Road accidents
Assistance to those involved in a road accident — drivers, passengers, pedestrians and cyclists — in claiming compensation for personal injury and property damage.
What we handle
- Compensation claims to the insurance company, through the direct or ordinary claims procedure.
- Personal injury: physical injury, medical expenses, loss of income, with the support of forensic doctors where needed.
- Vehicle and property damage, loss of use and expenses incurred.
- Pedestrians, cyclists and passengers, who enjoy specific protection.
- Uninsured or unidentified vehicles: claims to the Road Accident Victims Guarantee Fund.
- Compensation for family members in the event of the victim’s death.
- Litigation before the Justice of the Peace or the Court when an offer is inadequate or liability is disputed.
- Criminal aspects of the accident, for the injured party or the driver.
What to do after an accident
Keep everything that documents what happened: the joint accident report form (CAI) if completed, vehicle and witness details, photos, the police report, emergency room records and medical receipts. Before accepting an insurer’s offer, have it reviewed.
Mind the deadlines: compensation claims are subject to limitation periods.
